Alternate Dispute Resolution: How to Navigate the Mediation Process

This program discusses how to effectively use the mediation process to resolve differences focusing primarily on civil cases. Topics include:

• overview of New Jersey Court Rule 1:40, Complementary Dispute Resolution Programs (CDR)
• ethical issues associated with mediation practice
• case management skills
• mediation and negotiation concepts and skills

This program meets the annual requirement of New Jersey Civil and Family roster mediators for four hours continuing education.

NJ CLE Information: This program has been approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 4.0 hours of total CLE credit. Of these, 1.2 qualify as hours of credit for ethics/professionalism.

Phil is Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Safer Textiles Group, a vertical textiles manufacturing conglomerate, and Safer Development and Management Company, its real estate arm. Mr. Neuer has been designated by the Superior Court of New Jersey as a qualified mediator and mediator mentor. He is presently serving as Vice-Chairperson of the Zoning Board of Adjustment for the Township of West Orange, New Jersey.
