This webinar features law professor Shirin Sinnar who will speak about how the “hate crimes” and “terrorism” frames took hold in our law and culture and how they supply different ways of conceptualizing and responding to white supremacist violence. The implications of addressing political violence as “hate crimes” or “terrorism” comes with grave risks that do not align with a racial justice approach.
