Rutgers Institute for Professional Education and Rutgers Center for Corporate Law and Governance will present this fast-paced, interactive program focusing on common ethical dilemmas that often arise in the corporate context, and how attorneys representing corporations and high level corporate managers can address them. This program provides a unique opportunity to not only address the legal and ethical terrain that relate to corporate decision-making, but also the differing vantage points, duties and roles of corporate officers and attorneys representing the corporation. Through a scenario-based discussion of actual corporate challenges, the program will explore how corporate officers and attorneys respond, and ought to respond, to ethical and legal crises faced by corporate officers and the attorneys who represent them. Among the topics to be discussed are:

* Internal investigations
* Corporate compliance best practices
* The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and ethical and legal issues confronting companies doing business internationally
* The dynamics of collaboration among corporate officers and attorneys in handling legal and ethical dilemmas
