Municipal Court Practice in New Jersey

Most attorneys at some point in their legal career appear in municipal court. This program will provide the fundamentals of municipal court practice in New Jersey from the perspective of municipal court judges, prosecutors, public defenders and private practitioners. It is through the municipal courts that most citizens in the State come into contact with the judicial system, either as a defendant, a victim, or a witness. Attendees will gain the understanding of how to conduct themselves in municipal court and how to avoid some of the common pitfalls. This program can be used toward the New Jersey newly admitted attorney requirement.

- Negotiated Plea Agreements

- Sentencing Issues

NJ CLE Information: This program has been approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 4.6 hours of total CLE credit. Of these, 4.6 qualify as hours of credit toward certification in municipal court law. This program also qualifies for NJ newly admitted credit.
