An Introduction to Probate and Estate Administration

This program will discuss the probate process, including simple and solemn probate, the various forms of administration and the preparation of the estate inventory and accounting. It will also discuss the duties of the executor in administering the estate’s various assets, the use of disclaimers, distributions to beneficiaries and concluding the administration of the estate. Questions will be allowed at any time during the program. An outline and sample estate administration forms will be provided. Tax returns related to the probate process will be discussed on October 17, 2017.

NJ CLE Information: This program has been approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 2.6 hours of total CLE credit. This program also qualifies for 2.6 hours of credit for NJ basic estate administration for NJ newly admitted lawyers.
