Workplace Bullying: Law in New Jersey

This CLE program, which is Part II of the WORKPLACE BULLYING: SEEKING SOLUTIONS CONVENTION, will cover the legal options available to litigate claims of bullying in the workplace, as well as an examination of pending legislation in the proposed Healthy Workplace Act, S280. A panel of legal experts, along with Senator Linda R. Greenstein, sponsor of the bill, will discuss, among other topics:
• Legal and business effects of bullying in the workplace
• Existing New Jersey protections regarding workplace bullying
• Litigating bullying claims as Workers’ Compensation stress claims
• The Healthy Workplace Act S280
• Legal and business implications of S280
This program can be attended as part of the convention, organized by the National Workplace Bullying Coalition (NWBC), to consider ways to address and prevent bullying in the workplace. The convention will run from noon to 5:00 p.m. and includes lunch at noon. All registrants, whether seeking CLE or not, may attend the entire convention.
