Any case can become a media event if it grabs the public eye. This program will explore the difficult choices attorneys are faced with in dealing with cases, which draw media attention. Learn what you and your clients should say and do from the perspectives of the bench, bar and media, while staying safely within the Rules of Professional Conduct.

Hon. Glenn J. Berman | Greenbaum Rowe Smith & Davis LLP
Judge Berman served as Acting Presiding Judge in the Criminal Part, Judge in the Chancery Part, Presiding Judge in the Family Part, as well as the County Prosecutor in Middlesex County. While in Chancery he presided over the highly-publicized case of State v. Dharun Ravi.
Joseph A. Hayden, Jr. | Walder Hayden P.A.
Mr. Hayden is a frequent lecturer to the bench and bar on the topic of high-profile cases, tried the first case in New Jersey with live television coverage by a major network, and has been involved in such high-profile cases as the trial of former pro-basketball star Jayson Williams.

Mr. Gardner has served as lead counsel for clients in connection with catastrophic losses and mass tort litigation, notably the Port Elizabeth Warehouse Fire, the Texas Eastern Pipeline Explosion, and the Seton Hall University dormitory fire.

Mr. Sciarra has successfully tried numerous matters including criminal cases ranging from charges of official misconduct to murder and civil employment matters relating to claims of discrimination, free speech violations, and whistle-blower retaliation. His representation of police officers, unions and others involve substantial pressure to be proactive with the press.
