Rutgers Institute for Professional Education and Unchained At Last will provide an overview of New Jersey matrimonial law, covering the major steps of the divorce process — from filing the complaint to addressing issues of equitable distribution, child custody, child support and alimony, with a focus on arranged/forced marriage in New Jersey and the legal and ethical issues involved.
Unchained provides free legal services and other support to help women and girls leave or avoid arranged/forced marriages.
NJ CLE Information: This program has been approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 8.1 hours of total CLE credit. Of these, 1.2 qualify as hours of credit for ethics/professionalism. This program also qualifies for NJ newly admitted CLE credit.
