The Rapidly Changing Landscape of Labor and Employment Law: A View for Agency Leadership

The speakers will address the state of federal labor and anti-discrimination issues in the context of emerging organizational forms such as the gig and fissured economy and in view of emerging AI and surveillance. General counsel of the U.S Equal Opportunity Employment Commission, Karla Gilbride will discuss, among other topics, EEOC's systemic enforcement efforts, disability discrimination, and AI screening and selection tools. General counsel of the National Labor Relations Board, Jennifer Abruzzo will discuss, among other topics, collective bargaining rights of college athletes, concerted activity and political speech, and NLRB and back pay damages.
